Our History

Much of the information and pictures have been provided by the fine people of Cave City. We'd like to thank them all very much for their help and support. If you have stayed at the cabins in the past, or have pictures of, or information about the cabins, feel free to contact us.

We believe the rock cabins were built in the late 20's or early 30's. The campground was added some time later. The Cabins were hand built with local stones and have been renovated several times. We are in the process of restoring them to their original beauty and charm.

We've found that the time frame is not right for the cabins to be built by the CCC. We have heard that the cabins were built by 1 man in the late 20's (around 1928 or 29) for a total wage of $72.00.
